A stone's throw from the hotel is Corso Buenos Aires, a real paradise for shopping lovers, who are completely fascinated by the quantity of boutiques and stores one after the other along the whole length of the road. It is extremely fast and easy to reach the other places of interest in Milan, such as the historic center with the Duomo, or the Milan Trade Fair: the "Loreto" subway station and the bus and streetcar stops for all the main lines are 200 yards from the hotel. 

Those who want to get away from the city chaos can spend an afternoon in the Public Gardens of Porta Venezia that are at the beginning of Corso Buenos Aires next to the Modern Art Gallery.

 

In the vicinity of the Hotel Florence there is also the Città Studi, a lively university quarter where the prestigious Milan Polytechnic is situated, surrounded by restaurants, small eating places and typical bars and cafés.

 

The proximity of the Centrale station to the Hotel Florence makes it a good starting point for excursions to the area around Milan: in fact, in only one hour you can reach Lake Maggiore, Lake Como and Lake Garda by train.

From there, take the red subway line in the direction of Sesto F.S. and get off at the Loreto station (Viale Abruzzo exit).
